Recent Changes

I've been in ballet for 6 years. I was in tiny tots, pre- primary, Gr.1 ballet, Gr.2 ballet, Gr. 3 ballet, and now i'm in Gr. 4 ballet. Our teacher is Mrs. Karius, but we call her Miss Debby for no reason. The people in my class are Daryn, Ashley, Sky, Madisyn K, Madisyn B, Jessica, Julie, and me!!!!!!

Math pods are really fun! They make math alot easer then just learning by looking off a white board. Plus you get to use manipulatives and the smart board. I really like to do it because we get to work in groups and with our friends. There are 5 different stations like manipulatives, computers, teacher table, smart board, and paper and pencil. my pod did teacher table and smart board. In teacher table we learned an easy way to multiply. On the smart board we played a game with a whole bunch of math questions.

Adding decimals is very easy if you line them up. You have to go to the first numbers and add them together {decimal.gif} ,then you go to your 2nd and 3rd numbers and add them up too, until you get your answer. Sometimes you even have to carry your number over. Its important to no how to add decimals because money uses it and if you go to stores you're going to have to no how to do it.

In math we are learning about decimals!!! You can see them all over the world like at gas stations and in grocery stores. Its important to learn about them because they are everywhere like money, for example, they have a decimal in it so if you didn't understand decimals you wouldn't understand money. Decimals are dots that separate numbers. In place value you have the ones place , the tenths place, and the hundreths place.

The reason I love math is because I am good at it. Also because I like to add and subtract but im not a big fan of multiplication or divition. I hate math because its kind of boring and it takes a long time to do. Another reason I don't like math is because it's challenging
